“CDM Consulting Co., Ltd. enters the biodiesel fuel (BDF) business”

The Kyoto Protocol requires that CO2 emissions be reduced by 15% compared to 2005 levels. The company was established with the aim of contributing to the prevention of global warming, the letters CDM stands for Clean Development Mechanism. They have the technology on biodiesel fuel (BDF) production facility, and provide consulting services on BDF manufacturing plant installation and management concerning, patent acquisition business and other businesses. They have BDF processing technology and production facilities; and have contributed to the promotion of the industry of Okayama City through the “Okayama biodiesel fuel manufacturing business” where they collaborated with DOWA group, a company enterprise that does business in environmentally-related fields.

Aside from this, the company is developing technology that changes organic waste such garbage etc. into fertilizer and as a source of fuel for power generation; and seawater desalination/purification technology. They are hoping to expand their business abroad to overcome limits of the domestic market.

The company participated in an overseas exhibition through JETRO to bolster their foreign presence, and as a result, they were introduced to many business opportunities. Because JETRO arranges most aspects of the exhibition booth exhibition the exhibition costs become cheaper, participation in the exhibition that uses the JETRO booth has the advantages of time and cost saving can help expand environmentally-related businesses to the world in the future.

NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) adopted our plan titled as “Development of optimization technology for the oil production of the bio fuel plant jatropha”. The core members of the consortium are Nara Institute of Science and Technology, Plant High Technology Institute and the University of the Ryukyus. Fuchigami Co.,Ltd. inaugurated its biodiesel fuel manufacturing plant which designed by CDM Consulting Co., Ltd. in Kurume-City, Fukuoka Prefecture. This plant is the first one since the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry enacted the Law on Quality Regulation of Fuels in March, 2007.
